Terms of Service

The service

TagHunger provides meal suggestions, pantry tracking, grocery lists, and related tools for home cooks. Features may change as we improve the product. We may offer free and paid plans; prices, if any, will be shown before you pay.

Eligibility and account

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority in your state, to create an account. You sign in with Google and are responsible for activity on that account. Keep your Google account secure. Do not share access in a way that violates Google’s rules or these terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for anything illegal
• Upload bills or photos you do not have the right to share
• Probe, disrupt, or overload our systems
• Scrape the service in a way that harms other users or our infrastructure
• Misrepresent yourself when contacting support

Your content

You keep ownership of pantry lists, photos, and preferences you submit. You grant TagHunger a limited licence to process that content solely to provide and improve the service — for example, reading a bill to fill inventory. You confirm you have the right to upload those images.

Meal suggestions are not medical advice

Plans are general cooking help, not a diagnosis, dietitian prescription, or allergy-safe guarantee. You are responsible for checking ingredients against allergies, religious rules, and medical advice. If you have a health condition, talk to a qualified professional before changing how you eat.

Food safety and waste

Expiry alerts are estimates based on what you enter and typical storage. They are not a substitute for smell, sight, and common sense. Sharing leftover food with others is your decision and your responsibility.

Intellectual property

The TagHunger name, logo, app, and website design are ours or our licensors’. You may not copy the product or use our marks in a way that suggests we endorse you, except to truthfully say you use TagHunger.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that meal plans, bill scans, or inventory will be complete or error-free. Bill reading can misread a line. Always check the pantry with your own eyes before you cook or shop.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, TagHunger is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost food, medical outcomes, or shop bills that result from using suggestions. Our total liability for a claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim, or one thousand rupees if you paid nothing.

Suspension and closure

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or creates risk for other users. You may stop using TagHunger at any time and request deletion on the delete account page or as described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or by email when required. Continued use after the update means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India will have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any non-waivable consumer rights you have in your state.
