Short answers about TagHunger, Indian meal planning, bill scans, and your data. Still stuck? Write to us.

What is TagHunger?

TagHunger is a meal planner for Indian kitchens. It turns your pantry, time, and health goals into breakfast, lunch, and dinner — dal, sabzi, roti, and the rest — so you waste less food and stop asking what to cook.

Is TagHunger free?

Yes. You can start free with Google sign-in. No credit card is required to begin. See how to get the app.

How do I sign in?

Use Google. Your email is your account. You can add a mobile number later if you want optional reminders. There is no separate password to remember.

How does kirana bill scanning work?

Photograph a paper grocery receipt or a screenshot of an online order. TagHunger reads line items and quantities, then adds them to pantry inventory so today’s meals use what you already bought. You can also add items by hand. Details are on the features page.

Does it work for vegetarian, Jain, or no onion-garlic homes?

Yes. You set diet rules when you set up the kitchen: vegetarian, egg, mixed, Jain, or no onion-garlic. Meal plans stay inside those rules.

Will it suggest only “healthy” food I will not eat?

Health goals tune portions and balance. They do not replace home food with a feed of imported bowls. You still get meals that belong on an Indian table, adjusted for weight loss, muscle gain, or simply eating well.

How do grocery lists get created?

After the week is planned, TagHunger compares recipes with pantry stock and lists only the gaps. That is how you avoid a second bottle of oil and still remember coriander.

What happens to photos of my bills?

Bill photos are used to fill your pantry. We do not sell your kitchen data. Read the privacy policy for collection, storage, and deletion.

Can I use TagHunger without sharing or donating food?

Yes. Expiry alerts and sharing prompts are optional help. You can ignore them and still use meal plans and grocery lists.

Which phones are supported?

TagHunger is built for Android and iOS. Get current download options on the download page.

How do I delete my account?

Follow the steps on Delete your TagHunger account, or email privacy@taghunger.com from the Google account you used to sign in. We remove account data as described there and in the privacy policy.
